The ancient Maasheggen landscape is unique to Western Europe. There is no other place where you can find such an extensive contiguous hedge area as in the Country of Cuijk. The history of the Maasheggen landscape is incredibly visible. Every tree, every shrub, every pasture tells ancient history. It almost feels as if time has stood still.

Luckily there is a great diversity of activities to choose from to experience the history of this region. Moreover, the Maasheggen often forms the backdrop for special events of our region.
